Just to let you all know.....
Steve has contacted me and arranged a payment plan.... making GOOD on his agreement to pay me for the tour.
Just an example of how it doesn't ALWAYS turn out bad.
Thanks Steve.

| Damn, sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you get this whole situation sorted out. I wouldn't even be able to sit down let alone play double bass after getting the shaft so many times from these bastards. |
You know...the funny thing is....
I've made every POSSIBLE negotiation I can with Steve and Super Nova Records.
I've taken his offers of what he says me could pay me.
I settled for almost half of what he owes me...just to have this done and over with.
I've agreed to take less than HE agreed to pay me.
I'm trying to work with this dude and he's fucking me.
I know dude doesn't have much money but, shit man....send me 20 bucks a week.....something.
It's not fair that he hired someone to do work for HIS label and band.....
And now, he doesn't feel like it's a priority to pay people that have done work for him......
Instead, he "hires" someone else..... he can do this too.
And, I wondered why Steve has to defend himself against his ex band members.... or people who have worked with him in the past..... when I was being guaranteed I'd be taken care of.
He's proven what he is to me and I have NO respect for Steve Austin.
Respected people don't this to other musicians...let alone..."friends".
He is what he is.

Yes, it's called being a nice guy and trusting people.
I don't do that anymore.

I wonder how long it will take before Steve really makes a name for himself and no one wants to work with/for him. People that are all about themself usually get fucked in the end.
Sorry D, providing the labor and not getting paid in the end is not any fun. |

I guess it would be helpful for them to know that I never "IN" the band.
I was performing a service.

| I was looking forward to seeing Derek play with Today is the day. it seems like everyone quits TITD over money, I really wish the band was more stable, but the last two records have really kicked ass. I am still gonna see them in Cleveland even without Derek. go buy Axis of Eden if you had'nt it is very good and violent |

On the surface it looks like Roddy doesn't realize he won't make the kind of money he wants with smaller bands. Even worse for him is that these bands will not give him further demand as a drum clinician, and that is what he seems focused on.
Something's a bit odd as you don't see other bands hiring him like they do with Gene Hoglan & Tony Laureano. Maybe it had something to do with how things went down w/Hate Eternal.
How long has it been since he's been on an CD/tour? The more time passes, the more the opportuity slips away. |
Fascinating to see these comments on Blabbermouth (living up to its name). Firstly, a fanbase that will forgive the artist for being a dirtbag because the material is good???? Secondly, a fanbase that doesn't realise that Derek just won't accept the conditions that Gene or Tony will accept? Gene and Tony seem to be very different artists so maybe Derek just doesn't have the motivation to play black metal or SYL styled material for what SYL or Dimmu pay?
Funny thing is, we can probably all think of a day when we thought the same as these two Blabbermouths. |

Opportunity for WHAT?????
To do the same tours over and over again, in front of the same people?
I think I've created all the "opportunity" that's left for myself in this game.
As I said I'd rather give music away.
