That sucks Derek.
Did you have a falling out w/ the band?
Any idea who is playing drums? |
No fall out but, Steve owes me thousands of dollars from the last tour.
He asked me if I wanted to tour, I told him I couldn't do it for less than x amount, he agreed to that and never finished paying me after the tour.
Needless to say I don't work with people like that and nobody else should either.
Cheers.

God damn, that sucks big time. Do you have any chance of getting the money back ? |
You know, I'm sure Steve will make good on it. He's a good guy.
It's hard trying to get a label off the ground and manage the bands on it, plus a family, studio, etc....
But that doesn't mean I'll let it happen again and that's why I'm not doing the tours.

I bet heīs a good one, but no one should treat a buddy, friend, bandmember or whatever like this, itīs not fair. I canīt really imagine how hard it must be to manage all these things like you just wrote, but IMO itīs not a reason to put cash in my bag and acting like " you get it back, when you get it back!". |

And that's why I'm not jamming with him anymore.

Just to let you all know.....
Steve has contacted me and arranged a payment plan.... making GOOD on his agreement to pay me for the tour.
Just an example of how it doesn't ALWAYS turn out bad.
Thanks Steve.

That's awesome. Good news. I haven't talked to him in years. Always thought he was good people. Here's just another example. |

Good news!
I have liked Steve's music for awhile now, and I don't want to make assumptions about his character as I have never met the man, but the constant rotation of band members makes a little more sense now. |

If he were an asshole that paid in advance, would he lose his rectal status?
Redemption is possible in all things, to a degree. |

WELL, I take it back
Steve made an agreement and arrangements to pay me over 1 month ago and I haven't even gotten a phone call, e mail...money or kiss my ass from Him!!!!!!! NOTHING.
I would say that anybody that is considering signing to Super Nova or Jamming with Steve Austin to PROCEED CAUTIOUSLY!!!!
He has proven and shown "what" he is.
Would YOU want to be in a band or on a label with this type of person?
Until this is settled.... he is what he is.

Damn, sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you get this whole situation sorted out. I wouldn't even be able to sit down let alone play double bass after getting the shaft so many times from these bastards. |
